The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is a knee ligament that is subject to tearing under strenuous conditions such as athletic competition. Our All About ACLs Program teaches athletes to combine strength, flexibility, agility and technique in their workouts to help prevent injury to the ACL.
In an examination, we identify and correct risk factors that may predispose you to ACL tears.
- Perform strengthening and stretching exercises
- Perform dynamic sport-specific jumping and landing exercises
- Perform agility and balance exercises
- Learn the anatomy and function of the ACL
For those who have suffered a torn ACL that requires surgery, we provide assistance both before and after the procedure.

- Learn about surgery and what to do post-surgery

- Avoid injury to the new graft
- Resume normal gait and return to daily activities
Return to Play
Often four to eight months following surgery further work is needed to return the knee to 100% function and restore an athlete’s confidence for returning to full activity. These sessions include:
- Advanced strengthening and plyometric drills
- Agility exercises for lateral and pivoting movements
- Sport-specific drills
